The Euromicro Conference on Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (SEAA) has emerged 2005 as a continuation of the Euromicro Conference Conference that started already 1975. Euromicro SEAA is a long-standing international forum for researchers, practitioners from business and industry, and PhD students to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends, experiences, and concerns in the field of Software Engineering and Advanced Applications in information technology for software systems and software-intensive systems. Euromicro SEAA is composed of several tracks each having focus on a particular area in Software Engineering. Each track is independent in selecting the topics and in shaping its program. It has its own Program Committee (PC) and a PC track chair. In this way Euromicro SEAA improves flexibility in changes of the topics that are in research and practice trends. In addition to the tracks Euromicro SEAA provides special sessions that in a smaller scale target particular topics. Special sessions can grow into the tracks if the interest for the topic increases. In last few years the following tracks and special sessions have been active:
The history of Euromicro SEAA
The history of Euromicro Conference The Euromicro Conference was founded in 1975 when a workshop on "Micro-Architecture of Computer Systems" was held in Nice. From 1976 till 1993 the annual Euromicro meeting turned into a Symposium on "System Architecture", and in 1994 the term Euromicro Conference was adopted. The general conference structure was changed in 1990 to consist of several parallel tracks, with program subcommittees responsible for each of them. Euromicro '98 underwent a major change in the organization, providing a conference platform on which a number of theme-related workshops was built. The Euromicro Conference has kept up with the dramatic changes in technology and new application areas. At many occasions the Conference has held a pioneering position for presenting technical breakthroughs. Committee chairman |
